We agreed. The age of fashion models striking poses on a white background in a studio was over. No more clownish behaviour and fake emotions. Models had to become people, instead of people becoming models. Even in the studio.
I never felt at ease working with restrictive concepts of what a picture should look like. I was looking for something more adventurous, something I couldn’t figure out in advance. Human and unpredictable. Serendipity. Life I guess.
